About the Role
Join KARL STORZ as an Inventory Control Coordinator I and play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting supply chain excellence. In this hands-on position, you will ensure alignment between physical inventory and system data while helping drive efficient logistics operations.
You'll perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, continuous improvement (LEAN) environment.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:30AM-8:00PM
Work Environment: On-site logistics/warehouse setting
What You'll Do
- Perform cycle counts across inventory locations, including third-party vendors, to ensure accuracy
- Process inventory adjustments in SAP and maintain alignment between system and physical inventory
- Investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
- Review inventory reports and monitor variances to proactively identify issues
- Support audits and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve inventory strategies and operational efficiency
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
- Foundational knowledge of inventory control processes (cycle counting, receiving, adjustments)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Effective communication skills with a customer-focused, collaborative approach
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAP, WMS, or other inventory/ERP systems
- Exposure to continuous improvement tools such as 5S or Kaizen
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices
