Position Summary:
The Logistics Lead is responsible for the receipt, shipment, and handling of jet engines, stands, and other high-value materials using heavy duty forklifts. This role directs and supports logistics operations, including movement, storage, and documentation within an FAA-regulated environment. This role ensures alignment with FAA/EASA regulatory requirement while driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position works closely with the Shared Services Manager and Planning Department to maintain timely material flow and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Lead and supervise logistics team members to ensure efficient daily operations. 
·         Assign tasks based on priority and monitor progress to meet deadlines. 
·         Ensure accurate recording of man-hours and compliance with company procedures. 
·         Maintain proper use and storage of tools, equipment, and forklifts. 
·         Operate forklifts safely when necessary and ensure team adherence to safety protocols. 
·         Oversee inventory tracking, documentation, and photographic records of incoming/outgoing materials. 
·         Coordinate removal and placement of engines and materials, ensuring safe handling. 
·         Communicate with supervisors and planners regarding operational updates and potential hazards. 
·         Identify and resolve workflow issues, escalating critical concerns promptly. 
·         Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team. 
 
Qualifications:
·         High school diploma or equivalent 
·         Valid Driver’s License
·         Able to pass drug test/background check – we are a drug free workplace. 
·         Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, or warehouse operations; aviation experience is strongly preferred. 
·         Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely (certification required). 
·         Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
·         Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills. 
·         Commitment to safety and compliance with FAA regulations. 
  
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
·         Combination of office and production floor environments
·         Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
·         Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environment. 
·         May require occasional extended hours, weekend support, or travel to support operational needs, audits, or customer requirements.
