Position Overview
The Logistics Management Support position serves as a critical advisory role, providing expert guidance on enterprise-level logistics governance and sustainment initiatives. This role operates in a strategic headquarters environment, coordinating with Major Commands (MAJCOMs), functional communities, and interagency partners to ensure alignment with Air Force priorities. It contributes directly to mission impact by enhancing the readiness and resilience of Air Force logistics systems, particularly in support of nuclear enterprise sustainment and global contingency operations. Responsibilities emphasize strategic advisory functions, focusing on policy development, enterprise-wide decision support, and high-level coordination rather than day-to-day operational execution, thereby enabling senior leadership to make informed decisions that bolster national defense capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a senior strategic advisor on Air Force Enterprise Logistics Governance, providing expert guidance for major Enterprise Logistics Flight Plan initiatives, including:
Logistics Advisory Council Nuclear Working Group
Logistics Ability to Survive and Operate (ATSO)
Repair Network Integration
Responsive and Resilient Supply Chain programs
Develop and advise MAJCOMs and HAF leadership on logistics policy guidance and procedures for new and emerging enterprise initiatives, shaping Air Force-wide standards and practices.
Provide specialized advisory support, including program improvement recommendations and oversight of certification submission records.
Conduct in-depth review and refinement of logistics initiatives and briefing materials to prepare directorate leadership for senior-level meetings (Logistics Council, Board, and Working Groups).
Author high-level analyses, white papers, reports, memorandums, and official documentation to advance A4 Directorate logistics programs and influence enterprise sustainment policy.
Deliver strategic advisory support on contingency response plans, instructions, and checklists aligned with requirements to ensure operational resilience.
Lead coordination and consensus-building across MAJCOMs, functional communities, and interagency stakeholders to integrate and advance logistics governance objectives.
Provide executive-level decision support to senior Air Force leadership, synthesizing complex information into actionable recommendations that enhance mission readiness, nuclear enterprise sustainment, and strategic logistics posture.
