Overview:

Background Information:

This full-time position supports the NAVAIR Support Equipment Controlling Authority (SECA) team in Patuxent River, Maryland. The SECA team is responsible for the planning, accounting, and execution of function support for the Naval Air Warfare Centers (NAWC), Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC), FRC WestPac, Integrated Maintenance Program (IMP) sites, Naval Weapons Stations (NWS), and other assigned activities that participate in the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) program. This position helps ensure our nation’s warfighters have what they need to fight and win every day!

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze practices and procedures applicable to the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program as related to the design, procurement, overhaul, maintenance, modification, logistics support, and disposal and repair of aviation weapons systems, repairable assemblies, and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) equipment.
  • Disposition of support equipment
  • Analysis of current and future program requirements
  • Ensure allowance for assigned activities is correct and meets mission requirements for current activity missions
  • Document allowance for future missions and procurement planning by respective PMAs
  • Support the allowance and inventory management control of IMRL equipment for SECA assigned activities
  • Assist with ensuring deck-load Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) changes for activities are incorporated and generate updated programming data
  • Assist with the management/maintenance of the IMRL for all assigned activities including the technical documentation and logistic support of the operation, maintenance, repair, and provisioning of in-use equipment

Educational, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree in business, engineering, scientific, or mathematics from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 3 years of experienceperforming the stated or similar function.
  • In lieu of a BS/BA Degree, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and a total of 9 years of workexperience performing the stated function. 
  • Familiar with LAMS and SERMIS (SEMS) (5) years of specialized experience of Support Equipment Management experience.
  • Applicant must be a self-starter, flexible, and team-oriented to be able to work smoothly as a member of a technical team.
  • Must be computer literate and possess strong analytical skills
  • Some travel and/or overtime may be required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass drug screening

 

Clearance Requirements:

  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Work Conditions:

Most work is performed in enclosed buildings at a desk or in data processing environments. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Some travel and/or overtime may be required.
