Logistics Management Analyst

The Contractor Supply Support Specialist & Property Book Administrator
provides dedicated supply, logistics, and property management services for a
Department of War (DoW) unit.
Operating under strict Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and military
guidelines, this role oversees the physical receipt, storage, issue, and
tracking of unit equipment, tactical gear, and supplies. While the
contractor performs all administrative data entry, inventory validation, and
hand-receipt tracking, they operate in an advisory capacity-a designated
Government official must retain final pecuniary and signature authority as
the official Property Book Officer (PBO).



Key Responsibilities:
Populate, update, and manage official property tracking databases (e.g.,
DPAS, GCSS-Army, or local unit property books). Map asset lifecycle from
acquisition to disposition.
Conduct physical, wall-to-wall cyclic and sensitive item inventories. Match
serial numbers, national stock numbers (NSNs), and part numbers against
system records.
Generate and track sub-hand receipts, temporary loans, and component
listings to hold individual equipment users accountable.
Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify pack-slips, coordinate
shipping logistics for outgoing gear, and manage local storage yards or
warehouses.
Research missing, damaged, or destroyed property. Prepare draft packets for
Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) for government
adjudication.
. Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance is required on Day
1.
. Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics,
or equivalent military supply experience (e.g., Army 92Y/92A, USAF 25, Navy
LS).
. Systems Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency operating DoD property
accounting systems, specifically DPAS (Defense Property Accountability
System) or GCSS (Global Combat Support System).
. Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience in military supply room
operations, warehouse logistics, or property book management.
. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in
non-climate-controlled warehouse environments as required.
