    Description

As Tesla's Logistics Manager for a large industrial process facility, you will own inbound and onsite logistics execution supporting multiple refining facilities. Reporting to the Material Manager, you will orchestrate traffic, deliveries, heavy-haul moves, laydown flow, and material movement so the right equipment and commodities arrive, stage, and transfer owners without becoming the constraint. This is a high-accountability role for someone who thrives on complexity, controls the yard like a production system, and refuses to let logistics slow the field. If you can run a large-site logistics machine with precision and urgency, this role was built for you.

    • Own day-to-day logistics operations for a large processing facility site, including inbound delivery coordination, gate/traffic flow, heavy-haul and oversized moves, and internal material transfers
    • Plan and execute delivery schedules with Procurement, Warehouse, Construction, and Operations so critical path equipment and bulk commodities arrive in the right sequence with minimal congestion
    • Manage laydown logistics and material movement plans, optimizing routes, crane/truck interfaces, and staging locations to protect productivity and safety
    • Lead logistics coordinators, traffic control resources, and vendor/carrier interfaces with clear expectations for on-time performance, documentation, and issue escalation
    • Resolve logistics constraints in real time - late carriers, access conflicts, incomplete paperwork, damaged freight, and competing site moves - before they impact construction or commissioning
    • Maintain rigorous logistics tracking and reporting for the Material Manager, including delivery status, yard congestion risks, and upcoming heavy-lift/haul windows
    • Enforce site logistics standards for safety, escort requirements, load securement checks, and compliance with Tesla site traffic and security protocols
    • 5+ years of logistics, materials, or site logistics management experience on major industrial, refining, chemical, manufacturing, or large capital project sites
    • Demonstrated ownership of high-volume inbound logistics and onsite material movement in a congested, multi-contractor environment
    • Proven ability to coordinate carriers, heavy-haul vendors, warehouse/receiving, and construction demand signals into a reliable daily execution plan
    • Strong expertise of laydown management, traffic control, oversized loads, and industrial site delivery constraints on major capital projects
    • Exceptional organizer and communicator who can run multiple concurrent delivery and transfer workstreams without dropping details
    • Data-driven operator comfortable with trackers, delivery schedules, and status reporting to materials leadership
    • High energy, decisive, and relentlessly focused on keeping material flowing - logistics never becomes the reason the schedule slips
