This key leadership role blends hands-on execution with strategic process ownership to build and scale a high-performing logistics function that supports manufacturing excellence and future growth. The Logistics Manager serves as the SAP process owner champion of Lean initiatives and drives continuous data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency inventory accuracy and service levels.About you Youre a hands-on outgoing leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You understand the value in building accountable high-performing teams through clear expectations coaching and cross-functional collaboration.A day in the lifeLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead coach and develop warehouse and logistics personnel to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.Drive accountability through clear performance expectations key performance indicators KPIs and daily management practices.Foster a culture of continuous improvement teamwork safety and operational excellence.Logistics Operations & Material FlowOversee all logistics operations including receiving warehousing inventory control material handling and domestic and international shipping.Ensure efficient inbound material flow including receipt inspection system transactions storage and replenishment activities.Manage internal material movement and line-side delivery to support uninterrupted production operations.Lead outbound shipping activities ensuring accurate and on-time delivery to customers across the United States Canada Mexico and other global markets.Optimize end-to-end material flow from supplier receipt through production consumption and customer shipment.Balance service cost inventory and labor utilization to meet operational and financial objectives.Continuous Improvement & Performance ManagementEstablish monitor and report key performance metrics including inventory accuracy on-time delivery throughput productivity and transportation performance.Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to eliminate recurring operational issues.Champion Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S standard work visual management waste reduction and process flow improvements.Drive measurable improvements in productivity inventory accuracy service levels and operational efficiency.Systems & Process OwnershipServe as the SAP process owner for logistics and warehouse operations ensuring data integrity and transactional accuracy.Develop implement and maintain standardized operating procedures work instructions and training programs.Partner with IT and global process owners to improve system functionality reporting capabilities and operational effectiveness.Safety Quality & CompliancePromote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies environmental health and safety EHS requirements.Ensure inventory accuracy equipment reliability and audit readiness through disciplined operational controls.Partner with Quality Operations and Supply Chain teams to resolve process material and customer-related issues.Maintain compliance with transportation customs trade and regulatory requirements related to domestic and international shipments.Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as the primary logistics liaison between Operations Production Planning Purchasing Quality Customer Service and Supply Chain teams.Align logistics execution with production schedules inventory strategies and customer demand requirements.Drive cross-functional problem-solving efforts to remove constraints impacting material availability production flow and customer delivery performance.Support business growth initiatives through scalable logistics processes and continuous operational improvements.RequirementsWhat you need7 years of progressive experience in logistics warehouse or supply chain operations manufacturing environment strongly preferred4 years experience in supervising & leading teams in a fast-paced operational environmentBachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Engineering Operations or related field highly preferredProven success implementing Lean logistics systems Kanban pull systems line-side delivery supermarketsDemonstrated systems thinking and process design capabilityStrong ERP experience required SAP ownership experience highly preferredExperience optimizing material flow layouts and warehouse processesTrack record of driving KPI improvements using data and structured problem solvingExperience with domestic and international shipping processes CanadaMexico preferredStrong leadership presence with ability to drive accountability and changeExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive performance improvementsProven ability to build coach and develop high-performing teams fostering a culture of accountabilityStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present effectively at all levels of the organizationAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel PowerPoint Word with a strong interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to drive efficiency and innovationSolid understanding of quality safety and regulatory compliance requirements within logistics and warehouse operationsPerks of being part of our teamBlue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance -
