Description
Key Responsibilities
Regional Logistics Leadership
Oversee transportation operations across the NAFTA region, ensuring seamless coordination between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Develop and execute regional logistics strategies aligned with business goals, customer requirements, and costâefficiency targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regional logistics matters, including crossâborder compliance, carrier management, and performance oversight.
Cost Reduction & Optimization
Identify, evaluate, and implement costâsaving opportunities across trucking operations, including route optimization, mode selection, consolidation, and network redesign.
Analyze freight spend, market trends, and carrier performance to drive strategic decisionâmaking.
Involve negotiations with carriers and logistics partners to secure competitive rates and service levels.
Continuous Improvement & Process Innovation
Define and implement improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability, reduce lead times, and increase operational efficiency.
Utilize data analytics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within the transportation network.
Champion digital tools, automation, and visibility platforms to modernize logistics processes.
Trucking Operations Focus
Manage dayâtoâday trucking operations, including domestic and crossâborder shipments, carrier scheduling, and freight execution.
Monitor carrier KPIs such as onâtime delivery, capacity availability, damage rates, FTL/LTL performance and service quality.
CrossâFunctional Collaboration
Partner with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams to align logistics strategies with broader business needs.
Support sales and operations planning (S&OP) with accurate transportation capacity and cost insights.
Collaborate with export/import team, and external partners to ensure smooth crossâborder flows.
Risk Management & Compliance
Mitigate transportation risks by developing contingency plans, alternative routing strategies, and carrier diversification.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements across the NAFTA region, including customs documentation, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
7+ years of logistics or transportation management experience, with at least 3 years focused on trucking.
Strong knowledge of NAFTA/USMCA regulations, crossâborder logistics, and regional transportation markets.
Proven track record of reducing logistics costs and implementing improvement initiatives.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problemâsolving skills.
Experience with TMS platforms, freight analytics tools, and carrier performance systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fastâpaced, multiâcountry environment.
