Caterpillar is seeking a Logistics Manager in North Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will serve as a strategic leader and subject matter expert, driving cross-functional collaboration and innovation across the supply chain. You will be responsible for developing and executing advanced logistics strategies that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and service.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Suppliers, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Logistics Execution to define and implement scalable, cost-effective packaging and material flow strategies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative material handling systems and strategies with a focus on ROI, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Architect and continuously improve end-to-end material flow plans for purchased materials, encompassing receipt, validation, storage, picking, distribution, and reverse logistics.
  • Develop and govern standard work, value stream maps, PFMEAs, and SFMEAs, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide logistics and quality standards.
  • Oversee and optimize logistics equipment and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with long-term operational goals and capital planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow efficiency, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure readiness and availability of critical tools and equipment to support uninterrupted logistics operations.
  • Provide strategic leadership to logistics staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
  • Champion and manage complex projects that deliver cost savings, operational excellence, and enhance customer satisfaction.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
  • Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
  • Logistics Automation: Knowledge of systems and tools used to automate the conveyance of goods and materials; experience with the selection and implementation of such systems.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

  • Proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, Power BI, and Office 365 tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • Cross-functional experience in IT, Purchasing, Assembly, Fabrication, Engineering, or Quality.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale logistics or supply chain transformation initiatives.
  • Progressive experience in Assembly, Fabrications, Paint, Logistics, Material Planning, or Supply Chain within a high-velocity manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct supervision and development of teams.
  • APICS National Certification

  • The primary location for this position is North Little Rock, AR.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
