The Logistics Manager role
As our Logistics Manager you will directly manage all logistics operations at the local Regional Distribution Centre leading the team to ensure efficient stock handling, timely receipt and prompt delivery to customers. Ensuring high customer service standards are maintained, meeting and exceeding their expectations and in turn helping to contribute towards regional sales and profit targets being achieved whilst optimising logistics processes and driving operational efficiency. Your remit will encompass staff management, operational planning, performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. Fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, a key role is played in achieving organisational goals and delivering value to customers and stakeholders, supporting sustainable growth in line with our company objectives.
Logistics Manager Key Responsibilities
What you will bring
The successful applicant will ideally meet with the below criteria:
Essential Minimum 2 years experience of full logistics management role warehouse & driving Effective leadership style with ability to coach, mentor, train & develop staff Experience of working within a fast-paced sales distribution environment Experience of managing a logistics budget Experience of using route-planning software Strong computing, PC skills including MS Office products & outlook Experience of conducting vehicle checks, maintaining vehicle records Strong grasp of general health & safety principles including manual handling
Desirable Holder of Forklift licence Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi Truck Pivot Steer at certain sites Knowledge and experience of packaging or similar related consumable items Holder of HGV Licence with CPC Qualification Experience of working for similar large, national, multi-site or decentralised organisation
