We are an officially certified 51% veteran-owned firm dedicated to connecting qualified professionals with robust public sector, infrastructure, and commercial operations.

Position Overview

Fieldstrom Staffing is actively building an advanced talent pool of certified Logistics & Material Handling Specialists for upcoming state facility contracts, municipal utility operations, and commercial supply chain projects throughout the greater Indianapolis area. Candidates entering this pipeline are pre-vetted against standard Labor, Trades, and Crafts (LTC) benchmarks, ensuring immediate availability for rapid deployment to support complex warehousing, shipping/receiving, and physical asset distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute safe shipping, receiving, staging, and storage protocols for state agency equipment, commercial supplies, and construction assets.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and overhead hoists.
  • Conduct strict inventory auditing, scanning, and digital data entry using advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure 100% accurate asset tracking.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and manifest documentation, reporting any discrepancies or damaged freight immediately.
  • Pick, pack, and stage high-volume orders securely for cross-docking, agency distribution, or job-site transit.
  • Strictly maintain facility safety compliance under OSHA and IOSHA regulations, performing daily equipment checklists and safety audits.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an industrial warehouse, distribution hub, or logistics center environment.
  • Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is highly preferred.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long shifts, and maneuver safely within high-density fulfillment environments.
  • Compliance & Safety Screening: Candidates must successfully clear Fieldstrom's proprietary HR Compliance Protocol, which includes comprehensive background screening, verified reference checks, and fundamental safety awareness training prior to placement.
  • Core Competencies: Strong spatial awareness, accuracy with digital scanning tools, reliable transportation to commute to local Central Indiana project sites, and a safety-first mindset.
