Job Title: Logistics Material Specialist

Job Location: Naval Ship Repair Facility, Yokosuka, Japan

Job Category: Logistics Specialist

Job Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $48 - $52 / Hour

Job Description: Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. is presently seeking a Logistic Specialist to support Commander Naval Air Force Pacific Shipboard Habitability and Ship Force Work Package Program (SFWP) for a forward deployed aircraft carrier. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience, with strong working knowledge of Navy Supply System and warehouse operations.

Job Requirements/skill sets:

  • Conduct technical research using One Touch Support (OTS), FEDMALL and HAYSTACK
  • Maintain inventory and material staging of SFWP materials and Habitability Self Help (HSH) in support of forward deployed carrier
  • Maintain and perform periodic Supply Logistics Integrated Maintenance Program (SLIMP) database entries for Issue and Receipt of incoming materials.
  • Duties involve receiving Government Furnish Material (GFM), load and unloading material using forklift and dollies, and conducting manual inventory
  • Provide user support, training, and technical guidance for the SLIMP program
  • Conduct material validations, expedite shipments, submit Supply Assistance Request (SAR) and follow-up status on long lead time materials
  • Interface with ship’s project coordinator when processing Government Furnish Materials (GFMs)
  • Must have experience driving a 5-ton flatbed truck and operate a 5K forklift equipment. A valid regular Driver’s license is required.
  • Perform administrative and logistical duties using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Access)
  • Must be a US citizen, pass a drug screening and background check
  • US Naval Stock Control (S-1) work experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with shipboard logistics and material management systems
  • Must demonstrate good oral and written communication

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a Secret Clearance. Be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards
