Your role on the team:
Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation
Build and manage the annual operational budget, P&L, and labor costs.
Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks.
Reduce damage rates, missed delivery windows, and return product costs.
Resolve high-escalation customer complaints regarding damaged property or late arrivals.
Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities
Manages direct reports to include Team Assistant Manager of Operations and Terminal Manager
Responsible for Recruitment and retention of contract carriers
What you need:
Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
