**Primary Function:**
Daily plan the backhauls regional (NC, SC and VA) for all Cargo Transporters power units in an efficient and cost effective manner.
**Essential Position Responsibilities:**
Develops and analyzes daily/weekly order requirements into planning of loads and routes
Work to ensure timely pick up and delivery of all loads
Daily monitoring of empty mile report for inaccuracies
Monitor late deliveries and communicate any and all issues to customers
Reduce empty miles fleet wide whenever possible
Work collaboratively with Fleet Leaders and Customer Service to ensure customer needs are met
Assist management with special projects
**Position Requirements/Qualifications:**
- Minimum 2 year degree required. Bachelor degree preferred.
- Previous experience in the trucking industry preferred.
- Ability to think analytically.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments.
- Knowledge of AS-400 computer system and internet based routing software.
