This position reports to the manager and involves verifying, recording, and preparing incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspecting raw and subcontracted materials. Key duties include preparing shipping documents, arranging transportation, managing supplier deliveries, and inputting inventory data manually or via scanner. The role requires examining shipments for damages or shortages, verifying invoices, and ensuring outgoing shipments meet customer specifications. The employee will maintain dock organization, transfer documents to accounting, and schedule material movement. Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in high-noise and potentially hazardous environments.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of related experience, ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cranes, and basic computer and ERP system knowledge. Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned is necessary.
