Logistics Product Validation Specialist - P54

Position Description:
 
This role is an unaccompanied commuter assignment performed in the United States. Accommodation and transportation are provided for use during business periods. 
  • Perform technical validation of Provisioning data, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), troubleshooting and Technical Publications procedures
  • Communicate with other Logistics teams; Integrated Product Team and Logistics Project Engineering, to resolve quality questions, concerns and issues
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, specifications and subcontractor data to ensure accurate technical validation of source data and Technical Publications procedures
  • Validate provisioning, Operator, Maintenance and Trouble-shooting procedures through approved processes ensuring contractual requirements are being met
  • Document all findings in the quality database and verify all recommended changes are updated and complete upon acceptance
  • Attend and support customer events, meetings and Log Reviews, as required
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting procedures hands-on utilizing various shop equipment such as lifting devices, hand tools, power and air tools
  • Hands on review will consist of dis-assembling and assembling the variants according to the manuals provided
  • Navigate through Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals confirming IETM functionality and accuracy of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to search, view, and manipulate computer aided design models, such as Teamcenter Vis Mock-up models, to verify Technical Manual accuracy
  • Practice procedures as outlined in the Technical Manuals, adhering to the DWC's (Danger, Warning, and Caution) listed
Required Qualifications:

• University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the operation, maintenance and integration of vehicle components and systems
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and schematics
• Demonstrated strength in MS Office applications
• Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
• An understanding of the general concepts of quality systems, defect detection, defect analysis and reporting
• Goal oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid US visa and adhere to US tax requirements
• Unaccompanied commuter assignment, working 9/80 SHC schedule and returning to Canada on off days and weekend
• Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space
• Must be able to assemble/dis-assemble and use power, air and hand tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workshop, R&O and Field experience on military equipment
• Proficient knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of GDLS-C LAV components and systems
• Knowledge of relevant MIL-STDs and specifications
• 1-2 years previous experience in the development of technical manuals or validation of Logistics products
