Logistics Specialist IV – GAC St. LouisThe Logistics Specialist IV will support Gulfstream Service Center at the St. Louis airport. The role focuses on shipping, receiving, and transportation of parts and materials for aircraft in the hangar. Ideal candidates have a few years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving inspection experience and must be able to drive a transport van, box truck, and forklift.Compensation : $27.88 – $32.53 per hour. Expert proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office preferred. Valid Driver's License required.Position PurposeUnder minimal supervision, execute complex material‑handling, inventory coordination, and distribution tasks to support manufacturing and logistics operations. Ensure efficient and accurate movement, tracking, and documentation of materials while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Optimize inventory flow, support strategic initiatives, and serve as a senior expert and mentor, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Job DescriptionPrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess pick tickets and material requests by pulling, issuing, and transporting parts to support manufacturing, service centers, spare parts sales, backshops, and distribution centers.Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to move materials between departments and designated locations.Oversee advanced material handling and inventory processes.Resolve complex discrepancies and ensure compliance.Manage international shipments and export compliance.Obtain CDI, Q, PQ, or RI stamp.Maintain inventory accuracy through data entry and use of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Corridor).Support AOG needs.Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality—follow established procedures, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with regulations.Handle, transport, and prepare shipment of Dangerous Goods in accordance with DOT, FAA, and other applicable standards.Mentor and train staff.Escalate discrepancies with clear communication and follow‑up actions.Lead audits and reconciliation.Ensure adherence to brand protection and material handling standards.Support inventory accuracy goals through regular and accurate cycle counting.Use handheld scanners for picking, putaway, and cycle count activities.Additional FunctionsObtain certification to operate material handling equipment.Support Lean and sustainability initiatives.Assist in strategic planning.Perform other duties as required (DOT, Hazmat, Special Offloads, Customs, Carrier requirements).Other RequirementsValid driver's license.Certification to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.Compliance with FAA regulations and quality procedures.Able to lift 50 pounds.Willing to work all shifts and weekends.English language proficiency is required for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.Equal Opportunity EmployerGulfstream is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Protected Veterans.
