With decades of experience across home décor, apparel, food, small home appliances, beauty, garden, toys, pet products, and more, we are a leading global supplier to major retailers worldwide.About the RoleWe are looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Logistics Specialist to manage end‑to‑end international freight operations across multiple business units — Food, E‑Commerce/Brands, Hardgoods, and Fashion. This is a fast‑paced, high‑ownership role centered on ocean import logistics , requiring daily coordination with overseas vendors, freight forwarders, and U.S. customers. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Chicago.This role is a strong fit if you have direct, hands‑on experience with:Ocean freight booking and container management (this is a core daily function)Negotiating freight rates with carriers and forwardersManaging international shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, COO, NOP, etc.)Customs coordination, including HTS classification and tariff awarenessFOB shipment oversight from origin through final U.S. deliveryWhat You'll DoFood & E‑Commerce / BrandsManage full logistics cycle from origin to final deliveryCreate, submit, and follow up on shipping calls with suppliers and forwardersTrack container bookings and shipment progress at originIdentify the most efficient and cost‑effective routing options and communicate changes internallyMaintain internal tracking spreadsheets; monitor arrivals, delays, and schedule changesManage all shipping documentation and review/approve freight invoicesCreate trucking orders for inland transport from port to warehouseHardgoods & FashionOversee FOB shipments from origin to final U.S. deliveryPrepare pro‑forma invoices for customs clearanceCoordinate across vendors, customers, U.S. teams, Germany HQ, and China officesCommunicate directly with customers on shipment status, delays, and SOP questionsSupport HTS classification and customs‑related coordinationCoordinate U.S.-based rework processes when needed (repackaging, replacement parts, etc.)What We Require3+ years of ocean import / international freight experience — this is required, not preferredDemonstrated experience negotiating freight rates with carriers or forwardersHands‑on experience managing ocean bookings and container trackingProficiency with international shipping documentation and customs processesNice to HaveBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related fieldExperience with Amazon FBA and Multi‑Channel FulfillmentFamiliarity with multi‑country shipment coordinationWhy Join Wuensche USAYou'll be part of a fast‑moving international organization with real ownership across a broad product portfolio — with direct visibility into global supply chain operations across the U.S., Germany, and China.#J-18808-Ljbffr
