Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a Contract with a client in Chickasaw, AL (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting global logistics operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating timely shipments while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Rate Range: $35/Hour to $38/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Logistics Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate international shipments across air, ocean (LCL/FCL), road, and rail transportation modes to ensure timely delivery.

• Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and export declarations.

• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, including IATA, IMDG, DOT, and country-specific import/export requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to support global logistics operations.

• Monitor shipment status, resolve transportation issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Analyze logistics activities and support inventory and distribution processes to maximize customer satisfaction while controlling transportation costs.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

• 0-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or international shipping operations.

• Experience coordinating international shipments and preparing export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and export declarations.

• Working knowledge of transportation modes (air, ocean, road, and rail) and international shipping regulations, with strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
