Position Overview The Logistics Specialist supports the coordination and execution of commodity movements, with a focus on truck logistics and inventory management across multiple transload facilities. This role is responsible for reconciling inventory, validating shipment details, and ensuring accurate, timely execution of deliveries.Key Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor truck and rail movements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of commodities.Reconcile inventory across 30+ transload locations, including adjustments and discrepancy resolution.Verify shipment details (tickets, weights, dates, IDs) and ensure accuracy of transaction records.Confirm deliveries and track shipment status, resolving issues through direct communication with carriers and customers.Identify and resolve missing or inconsistent data to maintain system accuracy and minimize risk.Maintain logistics and inventory data in systems such as Agris and Excel; support reporting and documentation.Collaborate with internal teams to optimize execution and ensure alignment across operations.Support administrative logistics processes, including data entry, auditing, and issue resolution.Competencies Customer Focus – Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer‑centric solutions.Collaboration – Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Value of Differences – Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.Optimizing Work Processes – Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.Instilling Trust – Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.Accountability – Holding self and others accountable for meeting commitments.Resilience – Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.Minimum Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent work experience); supply chain, logistics management, agribusiness, or related field preferred.1‑3 years of relevant experience required.Experience with truck logistics, inventory management, or operational coordination preferred.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.Effective communication skills and comfort working with carriers, customers, and internal teams.Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.Equal Opportunity Statement The Andersons, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
