Logistics Specialist
Contract to hire
Monroe, WA

Pay Range: $22.00 $27.50 per hour

Overview

This role supports the movement of materials and finished goods within a manufacturing environment serving the aerospace industry. The position focuses on receiving, inventory handling, order fulfillment, and shipping operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments
  • Load and unload trucks safely
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
  • Select appropriate packaging based on customer requirements
  • Coordinate and route outgoing shipments using various transportation methods
  • Complete shipping documentation (bills of lading, customs paperwork, labels, pick lists, etc.)
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, including lot traceability
  • Pull parts from inventory and finished goods storage
  • Maintain shipment records and documentation
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Control, Scheduling, and Program teams to ensure timely material flow
  • Perform part marking and coating per instructions and blueprints
  • Follow all trade compliance, safety, and operational procedures
  • Support additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime or weekends if needed
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment (hand/power tools)
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial materials
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 40 lbs)
  • Operation of mechanized equipment, including forklifts
  • Use of computers and basic office equipment
  • Ability to work extended hours or shift changes as required
