Job Summary
Seeking a Logistics Specialist to support warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and material-handling operations. This position will initially work 1st shift but requires flexibility to work 2nd shift as business needs require.
The ideal candidate has hands-on shipping and receiving experience, inventory control experience, SAP knowledge, and experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Job Description
- Receive incoming materials and process transactions using SAP.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and verify quantities and documentation.
- Process and prepare materials for shipment to customers.
- Pick, pack, stock, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure outgoing shipments are packaged properly and accurately.
- Locate and count materials to support cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate system records as applicable.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
- Assist with inventory control and loss-prevention activities.
- Work across different areas of Materials operations as needed.
- Follow established warehouse and safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the team leader.
- Maintain flexibility to work alternate shifts, weekends, nights, or holidays when required.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of inventory control, loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience.
- 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, or similar experience.
- 1+ year of SAP experience.
- 2+ years of Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
- 2+ years of experience operating forklifts and hand trucks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts based on operational needs.
