Akkodis is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate with experience supporting transportation, distribution, and inventory operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain performance.
Rate Range: $36/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Logistics Specialist Job Responsibilities include:
Analyze and develop logistics plans to support production, distribution, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments using ocean, air, road, rail, and specialized transportation methods.
Create, review, and maintain logistics, distribution, and inventory management procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor shipping activities, track deliveries, and work with carriers and vendors to ensure timely transportation of goods.
Support inventory planning and logistics activities while balancing customer satisfaction, service levels, and transportation costs.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, documentation requirements, and international shipping standards.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
0-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or distribution operations.
Knowledge of transportation modes including Ocean (LCL/FCL), Air, Road, Rail, and Special Equipment Shipments.
Strong coordination, inventory management, and shipment tracking skills with an understanding of domestic and international logistics operations.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
