Responsibilities* Supervises daily activities of logistics specialists, providing guidance, training, and coaching feedback.* Leads the planning and execution of cost efficient domestic and international shipments, including routing, mode selection, consolidation, and carrier assignment.* Ensures compliant export and import documentation for all shipments.* Monitors shipment status and resolves delays, discrepancies, or service failures.* Manages relationships with freight forwarders and transportation providers* Solicits, reviews, and negotiates quotes to achieve cost savings and service improvements.* Evaluates carrier performance and recommends provider improvements or changes.* Ensures adherence to trade compliance, DOT, IATA, IMDG, and other regulatory requirements.* Leads continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.Skills/Requirements* 5+ years of logistics experience with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role.* Experience managing domestic and international shipments by road, ocean, and air, including cost/benefit analysis of transport modes.* Working knowledge of import/export documentation and customs processes for commercial goods; strong compliance mindset.* Hands‑on experience with an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, or MS Dynamics.* Will be required to pass DG DOT/IATA/IMDG certification within 90 days of employment if not current holder of DG certificationNote: All offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen* Posted positions are not open to third party recruiters and unsolicited resume submissions will be considered free referrals.AGS is an equal opportunity employer.
