Job Summary
The Logistics Systems Administrator supports the integration of warehouse operations and technology systems within Austin Lighthouses' third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role ensures that Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), DLA interactions, and warehouse processes are aligned to support accurate inventory management, efficient order fulfillment, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The position is critical to enabling scalable, data-driven logistics operations while supporting TAB's mission of creating meaningful employment for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily 3PL warehouse workflows including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, and shipping operations; ensures adherence to all operational standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitors and reports on key performance metrics including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment performance, and warehouse throughput.
- Administers and supports warehouse technologies including WMS and ERP-integrated systems; ensures system configuration aligns with operational processes such as pallet-based inventory tracking.
- Troubleshoots and resolves system transaction errors and equipment issues impacting operations; partners with IT to improve system performance, automation, and integrations.
- Analyzes and optimizes warehouse workflows to drive efficiency, productivity improvements, and reduction in errors and rework; develops, maintains, and enhances SOPs and work instructions.
- Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, internal policies, and audit standards; supports corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Maintains real-time visibility and accuracy of inventory data; leads cycle counts and inventory reconciliation; validates system transactions against physical inventory.
- Provides guidance and support to warehouse supervisors and team leads; assists in training staff on systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Partners with cross-functional teams including Shipping, Receiving, Stock Control, and IT to ensure coordinated and efficient operations.
- Supports customer-specific warehouse configurations and service level expectations; serves as a technical liaison for customer onboarding, system setup, and warehouse process alignment.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational and customer requirements.
- Complies with and assists other employees understand and comply with TAB's policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a 3PL environment
- Experience administering or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience with SQL databases, interface engines, and EDI platforms
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SyteLine or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other regulated quality environments
- Experience with process automation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience in government or contract logistics environments
Physical Requirements
With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to:
- Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to industrial equipment and materials handling.
- Frequently walk, stand, and move throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Operate standard office equipment including a computer for extended periods.
- Navigate warehouse floor areas, including areas where forklifts and other industrial equipment operate.
- Ability to work in conditions with varying temperature, including cold and/or heat.
