Logistics Controlling & Cost Management

  • Lead logistics budget planning, forecasting, and month-end closing activities
  • Analyze and classify freight cost actuals; perform detailed variance analysis vs. budget and forecast
  • Provide clear explanations of cost deviations and identify corrective actions
  • Partner with management to drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary interface between Logistics and Controlling for monthly reporting and analysis
  • Support Business Plan and Current Forecast processes
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and KPIs to enhance cost visibility

Transportation Execution, Audit & Coordination

  • Review and audit freight activity, including transportation modes and associated costs
  • Coordinate special freight requests, including quoting, tracking, and follow-up
  • Act as the plant's main contact for inbound and outbound transportation topics
  • Ensure clear communication between internal departments, carriers, and logistics partners
  • Serve as primary plant contact for Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and central logistics teams
  • Host and coordinate on-site visits with LSPs

Compliance & Documentation

  • Support export documentation processes (SLI, commercial invoices) as needed
  • Ensure compliance with customs and trade requirements, including CTPAT
  • Maintain and improve transportation work instructions and standard processes

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and resolve unidentified freight topics related to unidentified freight, misdelivered items, or missing information
  • Maintain transportation records and reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience in budgeting or cost controlling preferred
  • Experience in transportation, logistics operations, or freight audit preferred
  • Knowledge of customs/export processes and compliance (CTPAT a plus) preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
