Logistics Transporter

Essential Functions

• Drive company vehicles to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
• Always conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner. Treat external and internal customers and employees with courtesy and respect.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate strapping and wrapping machines.
• Obtains copy of shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Checking loads are secure.
• May assist in routine maintenance of equipment and logistics area. Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• May be called upon to assist Order Fulfillment and Material Staging.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Forklift certification
• Valid California driver's License
• Clean DMV record

Schedule

• Monday through Friday; occasional overtime on Saturdays
• 8:00AM to 4:30PM; occasional overtime requiring earlier start

Salary

• $21.00 per hour
