Salary/Wages:

$29.00 to $38.00 per hour

 

Employment Terms:

40–60 hours per week

Must be available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends

Willingness and ability to travel, including cross-border travel to the United States and overnight stays

Ability to travel for extended periods, including trips lasting 3–5 days away from home

 

Relocation Bonus:

A relocation bonus of $2,500 will be provided after the successful completion of three (3) months of full-time employment. This incentive is available to new employees only.

 

Education:

No degree, certificate, or diploma.

 

Language:

Basic knowledge of English is required.

 

Credentials:

Valid Class 1 or A Driver’s License.

An Air Brake Adjustment Certificate is required.

Must be eligible to travel to and from the United States

 

Experience:

7 months to less than 1 year

Work Location Information:

Work will be performed at various locations for the pickup and delivery of goods and materials.

Primary Duties of a Long-Haul Truck Driver include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate and drive dry van and/or refrigerated (reefer) trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances
  • Plan trip logistics and obtain the necessary documentation required for the transportation of goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories (e.g., tires, lights, signals, brakes, and refrigeration units)
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Obtain and carry required permits and documentation for international and cross-border transportation
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Prepare and manage bills of lading and maintain accurate logbooks
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers using onboard communication systems and devices
  • Perform minor roadside repairs and coordinate emergency assistance when required
  • Operate as part of a team driving arrangement, when applicable
