Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and healthcare staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Long-Term Care (LTC) assignment near Manhattan, Kansas.
This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with geriatric and long-term care populations and is looking for a consistent 3x12 schedule with both day and night shift options available.
As a Travel Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. You will work closely with nursing staff, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure residents receive safe and effective care.
Responsibilities include:
Provide direct nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care facility
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
Document nursing assessments, interventions, and resident progress
Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and appropriate clinical staff
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Coordinate care with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other members of the healthcare team
Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and emergency situations
Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection-control standards
Provide compassionate support and education to residents and their families
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Previous Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or geriatric nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced LTC environment
Travel nursing experience is a plus, but not required
13-week travel RN contract
