General Information:
Job title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Department: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Available Positions:
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Day Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Part-time 2, 16 hours per pay period; Day Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Weekend shift differential available
Holiday rotation: Rotating holidays
Position Summary:
Plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions, in accordance with established standards of practice.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
- Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with policy regarding administration of meds.
- Initiates and implements patient care plan.
- Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
- Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
- Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
- Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.
- Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
- Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
- Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
- Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.
- Participates in planning changes and improvements.
- Participates in MBMC safety programs.
- Supports and enforces infection-control & antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures.
- Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
- Keeps DON or Charge Nurse informed of patients, needs, and problems on the nursing unit.
- Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.
- Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
- Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.
- Displays concern and initiative.
- Observes and supports MBMC policy.
- Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
- Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
- Promptly answers residents' call lights & requests.
- All other duties as requested within scope of practice.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing
- Current RN license to practice in the State of Wisconsin
Required Skills:
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent customer service skills

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate through spoken and written English
- Treats patients and others with courtesy and respect
- Ensures confidentiality and security of patient's medical information
