Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care | Herington, KS

13-Week Contract | Day Shift | Up to $2,500/Week | Overtime Available

Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract with one of our trusted long-term care partners near Herington, Kansas. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for consistent hours, a day-shift schedule, and plenty of opportunities to pick up overtime.

Position Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care

• Location: Herington, KS

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: Day Shift

• Schedule: Rotating 3x12s / 4x12s

• Hours:36 hours one week / 48 hours the next

• Overtime: Lots of overtime available

• Compensation:Up to $2,500/week, based on experience and schedule

Travel RN Job Responsibilities

As a Travel RN in Long-Term Care, you will provide skilled nursing care to residents while working closely with LPNs, CNAs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting

• Complete nursing assessments and monitor changes in resident conditions

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered

• Perform wound care and other skilled nursing procedures

• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans

• Respond to changes in condition and communicate with providers and families as appropriate

• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges

• Supervise and collaborate with LPNs and CNAs

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Follow facility policies, infection-control standards, and resident safety procedures

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care

Education & Certification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

• Active and unrestricted RN license valid in Kansas

• Current BLS/CPR certification, as required by the facility

• Previous Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Nursing Home, or related experience preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills

• Ability to work a rotating 36/48-hour schedule

• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced LTC environment
