Paragon Science Academy is seeking a dedicated and engaging Long Term Substitute Teacher to cover a 6–12 Math maternity leave from July 14 through October 2, 2026. This full-time assignment ensures continuity of learning and a positive classroom experience throughout the coverage period.
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering daily math instruction for grades 6–12 following established curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional expectations.
- Creating an engaging, organized, and supportive classroom environment.
- Implementing classroom management strategies that promote student achievement.
- Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and supporting individual learning needs.
- Maintaining accurate attendance, grades, and classroom records.
- Communicating effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure a smooth transition and consistent student support.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Mathematics preferred.
- Secondary mathematics teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
Salary and Benefits:
- Pay Rate: $190/day, paid bi-weekly.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Benefits are not included.
