Long Term Math Sub - Grades 6-12

Paragon Science Academy is seeking a dedicated and engaging Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover a 6-12 Math leave beginning late August 2026 for up to 12 weeks. This full-time assignment ensures continuity of learning and a positive classroom experience throughout the coverage period. Courses include Geometry, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus AB (Dual Enrollment). A Master’s degree in Mathematics or a strong math background is preferred.

Your Role Will Include

• Delivering daily math instruction for grades 6-12 following established curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional expectations.
• Facilitating Geometry, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus AB Dual Enrollment courses with confidence and subject matter depth.
• Creating an engaging, organized, and supportive classroom environment.
• Implementing classroom management strategies that promote student achievement.
• Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and supporting individual learning needs.
• Maintaining accurate attendance, grades, and classroom records.
• Communicating effectively with students, families, and school staff.
• Collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure a smooth transition and consistent student support.
• Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Mathematics or strong math background strongly preferred.
• Comfortable facilitating Geometry, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus AB at the secondary level.
• Secondary mathematics teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $190.00 per day, paid bi-weekly.
• This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Benefits are not included.

Location & Shift Times

• Paragon Science Academy, Chandler, AZ 85224. In-Person. Full-Time.
• Monday through Friday. Start: Late August 2026. Duration: Up to 12 weeks.
