Long-Term Physical Education/Health Substitute Teacher

Job Description

Dominican High School has an opportunity for a student-centered educator to serve as a long-term substitute teacher in our Physical Education Department beginning immediately, ending November 20th, 2026. This position includes teaching sections of high school Physical Education and Health and supporting students in developing physical fitness, healthy habits, teamwork, sportsmanship and personal responsibility.

This position is from 7:30AM each school day and would end at 10:30AM most school days. Compensation for this position ranges from $75-$100 per day, depending on experience.

Dominican High School is a Catholic, college preparatory, co-ed high school of 320 students. We seek a talented educator who will value our diverse learning community and our Catholic mission to educate the whole person. Our teachers and students prioritize small class sizes and the ability to develop meaningful relationships. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred.

It is preferred that candidates are WI DPI certified or certifiable as a Physical Education teacher or hold a valid substitute teaching license. Candidates with alternative experience would also be considered.

Requirements

Knowledge of, or skills to learn Physical Education content as appropriate for a college preparatory high school. The ability to create a safe, structured and positive learning environment for students is essential. The ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and colleagues is also important. All faculty members must support the core values of Catholic education.
