Long Term Sub

The Ross Local School District is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Long-Term Substitute Preschool Teacher for Elda Elementary School for an anticipated 12-week assignment during the 20262027 school year. This position is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our youngest learners.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for preschool/early childhood education
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor and assess student progress
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Maintain accurate records and follow district policies and procedures

Additional Information:

• Position is anticipated to last approximately 12 weeks
• Start date to align with the beginning of the 20262027 school year (exact dates to be determined)
