Position: Long-Term Substitute - Bilingual School Social Worker
Dates: Approximately 9/18/2026 - 12/18/2026 (12 weeks)
Pay: $250 per day
Overview:
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) School Social Worker to serve in a long-term substitute role. This position provides social-emotional and behavioral support to students and collaborates closely with staff and families to promote student success.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide individual and small group counseling
- Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, and attendance needs
- Assist with MTSS, SEL, and PBIS implementation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Conduct observations and support behavior intervention planning
- Connect families with community resources, including home visits as needed
- Maintain appropriate documentation and service records
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Illinois PEL with School Social Work Endorsement
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the District.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written diagram or oral form.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
