Long Term Substitute Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Summer Street School Approximate Dates: September 24, 2026 through January 4, 2027

Job Description: We are seeking a positive, friendly, and well-organized long term substitute BCBA with strong interpersonal skills to work with elementary school students. The substitute BCBA will provide specialized instruction and related services to students with disabilities to support maintenance of critical skills and prevent substantial regression.

All candidates must demonstrate strong collaboration skills, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and behavioral growth within a structured elementary school environment.

Requirements Registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professionals Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with children and adults

Responsibilities: Using expertise in behavior analysis, collaborate with staff across the school district to develop comprehensive and individualized behavior plans for a student Observe student in school settings, consult with pertinent school staff to ensure coordination of strategies/goals, and facilitate communication between school and home regarding behavior intervention and support plans In conjunction with other school staff, collect information for Functional Behavior Assessment, analyze student data, and make recommendations regarding strategies implementation/changes Prepare reports requested by special education/administrative personnel to reflect the student''s progress toward goals/objectives In conjunction with school staff, plan and implement social skills activities to target specific social skill deficit areas identified by the student's IEP team Record and analyze data to provide feedback to school staff and parents regarding intervention success and/ or discuss changes to behavior plans based on data and discussion Develop, implement, and support the training of 1:1 paraprofessionals that includes techniques for supporting students in the general education classroom while at the same time maintaining high expectations for them Model intervention and data collection techniques for direct service providers and classroom teachers, review data regularly to inform instruction, and track progress Model various strategies and techniques to assist staff in implementing behavior intervention plans and social skills facilitation across various school settings Consult with parents and home-based providers to develop effective programming for students that will generalize across settings Provide crisis intervention, as needed, including but not limited to verbal discussion/ processing of events with students and staff, and the application of physical intervention methods to reduce the risk of injury to students or staff

Qualifications: Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Pay Range: $60 - $65 per hour based on experience.
