Long Term Substitute- Custodian

Ipswich Public Schools is seeking a long-term substitute custodial position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 200 PM to 1000 PM.

Candidates must be able to perform all the duties associated with the custodial position, including but not limited to the following:

• Cleaning • Washing • Sanitization of entire school grounds, such as bathrooms, classrooms, offices, etc. • Mopping, stripping, and waxing of various flooring systems • Vacuuming, shampooing, and cleaning of rugs • Moving and assembly of furniture and equipment • Handling of trash, recycling, and composting • Perform school grounds and building health and safety checks • Perform school grounds and building security checks • Perform minor maintenance, including painting, repairs, changing bulbs, etc. • Perform minor fields and grounds maintenance as needed

Must be able and available for snow removal and other events which may require overtime. Must be able to handle various equipment, such as but not limited to:

• Floor machines • Snow blower
