Abrams Elementary School is seeking a long-term Fifth Grade Classroom substitute teacher. A current Wisconsin Teacher License with a certification in English (1300) is preferred for this position.
The assignment is scheduled to start October 5 through January 14, 2027.
Qualifications:
Should be knowledgeable/experienced in the following areas:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and staff;
Using technology to engage students in learning;
Must possess a positive attitude and sense of humor;
Commitment to high expectations for student achievement;
Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication
Expectations:
Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction based on established lesson plans
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a love for learning
Collaborate daily with grade-level teams and support staff to ensure student success
Assess student progress
Complete Trimester 1 report cards
Maintain open, friendly communication with families
Attend Parent/Teacher Conferences - October 22 and 27 in the evening
Participate in Professional Development Day activities
Attend Staff Meetings
