Long Term Substitute General Music and Band Grades 1-8

-Teach elementary general music (grades 1-5) and middle school (grades 6-8) band electives using school-provided curricula and lesson plans.

• Collaborate with the drama department to help prepare 3rd-5th grade students for their performances using pre-recorded music and choreography videos.
• Control the sound system and music for grade level shows.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment through effective classroom management and consistent enforcement of classroom expectations.
• Cultivate leadership opportunities for pathway scholars within the Beginning Band program
• Foster a welcoming and accepting classroom that prioritizes kindness and creativity while also maintaining high standards and musicianship.
• Attend Elective/Enrichment team meetings to maintain continuity with the instructional team.
• Keep accurate records of student work, academic progress, participation and preparedness and communicate student grades to the Director of Fine Arts weekly.
