Job Title: CDP Long Term Substitute

Location(s): Central Valley, HPK (Hillsboro), Grand Cities Mall

Compensation: $17.50/hour depending on education

Position Details: Part-time; flexible scheduling

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Description: Mayville State University Child Development Programs is hiring long term substitutes who are responsible for assisting teachers and leading classrooms, providing high-quality classroom educational services to children ages 0-5. This position also involves a high level of teamwork. This position is accountable for supporting students and staff in daily curriculum activities. Respect for families as the child's first teacher and fellow staff members is essential to this position. Applicants must have great communication and organizational skills. Duties include providing a safe, educational environment for the children.

Required Competencies:

  • Be an adult of good physical, cognitive, social, and emotional health, and shall use mature judgment when making decisions impacting the quality of child care

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion

  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral)

  • Experience working with diverse populations

Minimum qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children birth to age 5 and their families
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start regulations
