Long-term Substitute Gym Teacher- Upper Campus

St. Joseph Catholic Academy is looking for a long-term substitute teacher for Physical Education at the Upper Campus for approximately 6-8 weeks. The term is estimated to be from the start of the 26-27 school year through mid-October. Primary Responsibilities: -Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of P.E. -Develop and implement effective classroom curricula, complementing SJCA's sequential and standardized curricular goals and working closely with other department faculty. -Promote a welcoming classroom environment that encourages an interdisciplinary and respectful culture of learning. -Adapt instructional content and teaching strategies to suit individual and class needs. -Incorporate technology training and teaching methodologies within the classroom under the supervision of the Technology Department. -Supervise student activities within the classroom and other areas as assigned, enforcing the SJCA's high expectations for student behavior at all times. -Communicate via phone, email, and in person with SJCA families regarding students' academic progress. -Attend all teacher in-services, faculty and department meetings, and parent-teacher conferences during the long term assignment.
