Long Term Substitute: History - Clinton High School

Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority: Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the High School Administration, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees, and policies of the Clinton School Committee.

Job Summary: Long term substitute teacher at Clinton High School. This will be a temporary position from August 24 through December 23. This teacher will be expected to teach high school US and World history courses.

Statement of Duties: Teach High School History Courses Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Prepares for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation using a weekly, up to date planbook. Designs and administers informal and formal assessments. Organizes and analyzes results from assessments Uses engaging instructional practices for all students. Employs two-way communication with families. Shows understanding of and sensitivity to different families'' home language, culture, and values. Reflects on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students.
