JOB SUMMARY:
The High School Assistant Principal uses leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to assist the principal in promoting and advancing the education of all students. This includes such responsibilities as: working directly with students to meet their needs and support their development; leading, directing, counseling, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective parent, teacher and child communications; supporting, encouraging, mentoring, and evaluating staff; and fostering collaboration between teachers and among staff and parents.

Reports To: Principal
Term: approximately 4 months, 8/17 through 12/23 (August-December)
Compensation: Administrator Salary Scale
(10-month administrator scale, prorated for reduced year)
FLSA Status: Exempt, non benefited

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Principal, in tandem with the Principal and and other building/district coordinators, manage and oversee all staff in the building.

Salary, benefits, and responsibilities per contract between the Westborough School Committee and the Westborough Education Association.
