Long-Term Substitute: Middle & High School Special Education Teacher

The Durand-Arkansaw School District is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered individual to serve as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at the Middle & High School.

Position Details

• Assignment: Middle & High School Cross-Categorical Special Education

• Location: Durand-Arkansaw Middle & High Schools

• Duration: January 25, 2027-May 3,2027

• Reports to: Middle School Principal

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with students'' IEP goals

• Develop and implement engaging, differntiated lessons focused on functional academics, vocational skills, transition planning, and social skills.

• Support students in developing independence, self-advocacy, communication, and life skills.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of IEP goals and objectives.

• Collaborate with related serviced providers and general education teachers.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

• Participate in IEP meetings as necessary.
