The Briarcliff Manor UFSD is seeking an eager and highly qualified Music leave replacement to join our dynamic team of educators and fulfill our mission of providing students with an outstanding education and to develop each student's capacity to put their thoughts and aspirations into action.

Position: Long Term Substitute Music Teacher (Leave Replacement)

Music Focus: Chorus and General Music

Full Time: 1.0

Location: Briarcliff Middle and High Schools, Grades 6-12

Effective Date: August 31, 2026 - December 22, 2026

Certification Required: New York State Music K-12 (Provisional, Professional, Internship, Pending)

Salary: BA or MA Step 1-5, BTA CBA Salary Scale

Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate:

• Master's Degree in Music
• Strong Choral Music background
• Strong rehearsal and conducting skills
• Knowledge of Grade 6-12 Choral literature and appropriate vocal technique
• Experience teaching a variety of middle and high school Music courses; College-level (dual enrollment) experience preferred
• Excellent pedagogical skills on multiple instruments a plus
• Commitment to creating a student-centered learning experience
• Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents
• A joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels
