teacher

Early
Childhood
Education

Michigan
Teaching
Certificate
with
Early
Childhood
General
and
Special
Education
Birth-K
(ZN)
OR
c.
A
valid
Michigan
License
in
a
Special
Education
related
field
such
as
Speech
Language
Pathology,
Occupational
Therapy,
Physical
Therapy,
or
School
Social
Work.
2.
Must
meet
the
Highly
Qualified
standard
under
the
ESSA
OR
be
recommended
for
a
certificate
or
endorsement,
constituting
full
approval
in
a
special
education
area
by
an
institution
of
higher
education
signifying
verification
of
completion
of
a
teacher
program,
as
approved
by
the
State
Board
of
Education.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
1.
To
effectively
provide
instruction
to
students
with
an
Individualized
Family
Service
Plan
within
their
natural
environment
2.
To
effectively
communicate
in
writing
and
verbally
with
students,
staff
and
families.
3.
To
progress
monitor
students
growth
on
IFSP
goals
and
report
data
to
families
4.
To
upload
progress
notes
and
service
logs
into
Drive
for
HVS
administration
to
review
monthly.
5.
To
be
engaged
while
attending
building
and
department
meetings.
6.
To
be
a
learner
of
your
content
and
other
school
related
topics
to
benefit
students.
7.
To
work
a
balanced
work-year
calendar
(different
from
district-wide
yearly
calendar)
8.
Must
sign
Consent
to
BIll
for
Medicaid
and
complete
Medicaid
documents
for
billing
daily.
All
Medicaid
documents
must
be
uploaded
to
MiStar
monthly.
9.
Have
reliable
transportation
to
travel
to
multiple
sites
away
from
the
school
per
day
