This position is only available for the 2026-2027 school year, and cannot be renewed.Daily Rate = $19.91/hourNot a benefits-eligible positionLocation = Maplebrook Elementary SchoolEssential Functions:Deliver lesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators.Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students within the assigned classroom and appropriately respond to all emergency situations.Ensure the protection of equipment, materials and facilities as appropriate.Communicate in a positive way with all students, staff, and others.Manage student behavior which supports a positive learning environmentOther Functions:May be required to participate in building events such as fire drills, evacuations, assemblies, etc.May need to direct activities of a classroom assistant(s)Qualifications:Active state of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)Willingness to work 5 days per week at the assigned schoolPhysical Demands:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
