The School District of Lodi is seeking a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for our 18-21 year old transition program, located at the District Office. This placement ranges from 8 weeks to 10 weeks in length depending on the return of the permanent teacher (approximately August 24, 2026 - October 23, 2026). Candidates will be required to manage a caseload of young adult students with a variety of disabilities and must have the collaboration skills necessary to work with service providers and outside agencies.

Requirments:

  • Knowledge of the development of adolescents and young adult learners.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build partnerships with students, parents and adults.
  • Knowledge of IEPs and providing specially designed instruction based on student need.

Qualifications: DPI certification: Special education certified teacher with cross-categorical, LD, CD, and/or EBD certification, General Education certification, Substitute Teacher certification
