Position Title: Special Education Teacher Long-Term Substitute

Salary: $280/Day
SUMMARY:
To instruct and assist students in mastering subject matter and skills while at the same time encouraging and supporting their positive academic and social growth. To develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans. To provide resource support in Learning Strategies resource classes to a caseload of approximately 12 students. To develop lesson plans and instruct a variety of courses for students with disabilities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises classrooms, students, and teacher aides.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Arts degree from a four-year college or university.
Experience teaching students with mild to moderate Learning Disability and/or a variety of diagnoses, including Autism, Other Health Impairment, Physical Disability, Emotional Disability, etc.
